Oakley Home Access: Maximizing Mobility Since 2015
Oakley Home Access was founded by our two co-owners, Justin Oakley and Mike Vieira in November of 2015. Their respective career paths as an occupational therapist and a builder formed the perfect team to provide home modifications throughout the community. The two co-owners mission was to provide expert assessment and installation of home modifications to facilitate aging in place, fall prevention, and accessibility. From these humble roots, we have expanded to a team of 15+ professionals and service Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Connecticut residents.
Part of our success is how closely we work with a variety of healthcare professionals throughout the area to assist with discharges home and safe Aging in Place. Due to our assessors experience as occupational therapists, we have a unique perspective on the healthcare continuum. We provide Free Home Safety Assessments with form, function, and safety in mind. We take the time to learn about each client’s unique situation, collaborating with individuals and their loved ones as well as with healthcare providers in order to create simple solutions for maximizing mobility.
After several years operating out of a home office, we proudly opened our showroom in Narragansett, Rhode Island in 2018. This space was created for clients to see and use the products before making the important decision about items that will help them the most. We showcase EZ Access products including Modular Ramps, Vertical Platform Lifts, and Portable Ramps as well as a model bathroom outfitted with CleanCut, Moen, Delta, & Drive Products. Visitors can sample the ease of the Stiltz home lift and adaptive equipment for around the house including Stander Products.
In addition to the products and services we offer, we are also passionately involved with our community and with our healthcare partners. We are committed to getting the word out about options for those who seek to age in place and for those needing home modifications to stay in their homes. Fall prevention is a critical part of our mission, and education to the end users at local senior centers and councils on aging has been an integral part of our community outreach. Our therapy team loves to meet with clients who are currently mobile in the community, and offer suggestions to keep them at that level of functioning.
As we continue to grow, we look forward to more opportunities to bring the best products and services to our neighbors. Contact us to see how we can help you and your loved ones.
